Temporary Village of Seville Public Meeting Procedure
On March 22, 2020 Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Director of the Ohio Department of Health, Amy Acton signed orders prohibiting all public and private gatherings that occur outside a private household. As a result of this order the Village is unable to offer public meetings in the Village Municipal Building.
To continue the ability to pass important legislation and to conduct Village business, regularly scheduled meetings will continue using the teleconferencing platform “Zoom.” The public is invited to listen in on these meetings using one of the methods listed below. There is no fee or sign-up that is required.
The technical aspects of teleconferencing these meetings have required us to alter certain aspects of the normal meeting process. While the public is invited to attend the meeting, technical details do not allow us to offer the public’s input or participation. Privilege of the floor and / or the ability to directly communicate with council members during the meeting are not available. You may continue to contact Village officials prior to any meetings using conventional methods.
These are temporary workarounds and we look forward to resuming meetings in public. Thank you for your understanding as we work through the technical aspects of this technology.
